Roaming the Texas Countryside

David and I have been traveling up the Hwys 75 and 380 corridor looking for property. There is some beautful land out there. We are hoping to find sandy, loomy soil to make it easier for our horse, Mavrik to roam around on. Black soil is hard on the hooves. When he lays in the mud, its a challenge to remove, especially since it drys up into hard rocks in his mane and tail. It's one thing for a woman to have a bad hair day.... but a horse with a bald spot in part of his mane or tail.....not a pretty sight.

We are having alot of fun getting to know the area out here. We continue to see blue bonnets in our travels. They are beautiful this year. I don't think I could ever leave Texas because of blue bonnets.
